From a ringing phone to a booked meeting
No message to return, no callback to promise. Your AI receptionist answers, finds a slot that's genuinely free and creates the event before the caller hangs up.
Your AI receptionist picks up, works out what the caller wants and offers a time that is actually open on your Outlook calendar, 24 hours a day.
The meeting is created on the Outlook calendar you picked, at the length you set, 30 minutes by default. Nobody types it in afterwards.
OutlookBusiness hours, a buffer between meetings, a minimum notice period and your blocked dates are all respected, so the agent never books a slot you can't keep.
What Allo reads and writes in Outlook
Allo reads what it needs to find a good slot, and writes exactly one thing back: the meeting.
OutlookEach connected Outlook account carries its own hours, time zone, blocked dates and booking rules.
Taking the time down by hand vs booking with Allo
Taking the time down by hand
Callers asked to leave a message and wait for a callback
A time promised on the phone, then double-booked
Somebody typing the appointment into Outlook later, or not at all
Evenings and weekends going straight to voicemail
With Allo
The meeting booked while the caller is still on the line
Only slots that are genuinely free, inside your hours
The event on your Outlook calendar, with nothing retyped
Bookings taken after hours and at the weekend
Allo is an AI phone system, not just an integration

In Allo, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Outlook, and click Connect Outlook Calendar. Sign in on Microsoft's page and grant Allo access to your Outlook calendar. You're sent back to Allo, which reads your calendars, and your account appears in the connected list.
The one you choose. Allo only offers calendars you can edit in Outlook, and if you don't pick one it books onto the account's primary calendar. You also set how long each booked meeting is, 30 minutes by default. There are no event types to configure.
Yes. Any team member can connect their own Outlook account, and any connected account in the workspace can be the one an agent books from, including a teammate's. Changing which calendar it uses and how long the meetings are is restricted to the account's owner, an admin or a manager.
Booking rules. A 30 minute buffer between meetings and a 2 hour minimum notice are on by default, business hours are respected by default, and you can turn on a booking window to cap how far ahead callers can book, 60 days by default. Blocked dates are never booked over.
Allo only shows calendars you can edit in Outlook. Check your sharing permissions for that calendar, or connect the account that owns it.
Only the person who connected it can disconnect it in Allo. They can also revoke Allo's access directly from their Microsoft account.
Yes. The Outlook connection exists so your Allo AI receptionist can book a caller in during the call. It's what turns an after-hours call into an appointment instead of a voicemail.
