The Future of Software Just Landed in Miami

After raising $12M from U.S. investors, The Mobile-First Company chose Miami — not San Francisco — as its new HQ. The startup behind Allo, an AI-powered business phone system for small teams, unveiled a striking billboard campaign across Miami to mark its U.S. arrival.

Why The Mobile-First Company chose the sunshine state over Silicon Valley?

Yes.

When tech companies dream big, they usually pack their bags for San Francisco.

We didn’t.

We landed in Miami and we brought billboards with us.

Why Miami?

Because Miami is more than beaches and palm trees. It’s the new tech hub. A place that connects the U.S., Latin America, and Europe in one direct flight.

For us, it made perfect sense.

You go to San Francisco to build a product.

We already have one. Now it’s time to sell it.

Miami gives us exactly what we need:

  • A massive local market of small and medium businesses.

  • A pool of talent coming from top universities and global backgrounds.

  • A gateway to the two fastest-growing regions for SMB software, the U.S. and Latin America.

Here’s what most people don’t realize about this city:

1. It’s a city of small business owners.
Nearly 99% of businesses in Miami are small or medium-sized.

• The city runs on family-run shops, real estate agencies, service companies, contractors, beauty salons, and logistics providers.

• It’s not a corporate town, it’s entrepreneurial at its core.
When you walk down Brickell or Coral Gables, you meet founders, not middle managers.

2. Latin America meets the U.S.
Miami is the capital of Latin America, without leaving the U.S.

You can sell to American SMBs while tapping into the massive Latin American business ecosystem.

Most founders here are bilingual, ambitious, and open to innovation. That multicultural mix gives products like Allo instant cross-border scalability.

In Miami-Dade County alone, 98.2% of businesses employ fewer than 100 people. That’s exactly who we build for.

For our second Billboard we knew that most brands write catchy taglines.

But, we have a phone system running pretty well, so we wrote a phone number.

And, It actually works!

Call it and an AI receptionist will answer, making sure you’re not driving before helping you out.

That’s what we build, smart communication tools for small teams.

No setup, no cables, no sales calls. Just an app.

We’re Not Here to Fit In

We were sure the campaign wasn't about marketing. It’s a statement.

The old world of software is slow, complex, and built for people sitting in offices. We’re building for the next generation of entrepreneurs, the ones running entire companies from their phones.

We’re here to make “mobile-first” the new default. To replace legacy desktop tools with apps that feel fast, human, and actually fun to use.

Why It Matters

Small teams have been stuck with outdated, desktop-heavy tools for too long. We’re here to change that, one app, one call, one billboard at a time.

Because the real economy doesn’t live in spreadsheets. It lives in nail salons, construction sites, cafés, gyms, real estate offices, places where people move.

We build for them. Software that fits in your pocket, not your office.

Why Billboards?

Because in a world obsessed with clicks and pixels, we wanted something real. Something you can touch, drive past, or call.

And let’s be honest, Miami isn’t shy. Neither are we.

When you launch something bold, you don’t whisper it on social media.

You put it on a wall in front of 200,000 cars a day.

We could have gone digital-only, but we like things you can point at and say,

“That’s us.”

What’s Next

This is just the start.

We’re building a family of mobile-first apps that cover everything from calls to invoices to expenses, all designed for small business owners who never sit still.

And yes, the next billboard might be even bolder.

Because while other companies talk about “the future of work,” we’re building the tools that make it happen. Right here, under the Miami sunshine.
